Default mono or not??

I just bought a 1969 327 small block car and i"m baffled. The passenger side rear spring is a mono leaf and the drivers is a pack (3 ,I think),is this common or did some one just fix it with what they had lying around? What would be better for a daily driver ?thanks in advance.

I'd say someone fixed a broken spring with whatever they had laying around

It would be fine if they used a new, 3-leaf mono replacement spring from say JCW.

I think somebody said JCW quit selling them recently.

They were under the '68 NOVA car h-d 3-leaf mono replacement springs and were good value!

I have them under my car now, but with extra leaf's to better match my about 525 pound aftermarket front coils.
