I'm just about done building my 489. I purchased a March alternator bracket that is a mid mount style for the passenger side for the long water pump. I have a Weiand action plus long pump and Brodix RR heads, all with accessory bolt holes in the stock locatons. Well, the bracket I received is misaligned on two of the bolt holes by about 1/4" to 3/8"! I am going to call March tomorrow to see what the problem is. The part number is etched on the bracket so it is the one that they say fits. I'm running a Powermaster 140 amp alternator. Can anyone recommend any other bracket set up that they used that fit without problems? I thought about just going with the stock ones, but I really like the look of the March brackets. Thanks.

There have been a few post about march brackets not aligning and guys having to drill them etc etc. I dont remember what the application was,alt p.s. or a.c. but if you you a search on "march brackets" I'll bet something will come up about it.

The post I saw some info about this was "Its Done" and the two guys discussing the march bracket problems wererew68 and Bullit68,look on that post or send one of those guys a direct message'that would be a good start...good luck
