Default Cover of GM high Tech.

I thought some of you may find this interesting. They say production has been confirmed for the 2010 model year.

2010??? I hope GM is still around. Only GM would delay a car they desperately need, instead of moving it up.

Hello Gm Are You Listening! If You Wait Til 2010 There May Not Be A Gm To Write This To. I And Many Others Can't Wait Forever If You Do Not Hurry Many People Will Buy The Challanger And Gm Will Be S.o.l.!

GM WILL be around in 2010 !! (assuming Delphi doesn't strike... )

I do agree though that a 2010 intro for the Camaro will result in lost sales opportunities to the Challenger and Mustang. If the new Camaro is everything it is supposed to be - it should still do well in the market. But, I think it is just as likely that the 'other guys' will lose sales to the Camaro when it comes out. Lots of folks are not brand conscious and will buy the better car. Let's just hope it gets rated better than those pesky competitors!!!

How long do you suspect people will hold on to those "Mustangs and Challangers" when this new car debuts?

Are we to assume these people will plop down money for a Mustang or Challanger and then NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR FOR THE REST OF THEIR NATURAL LIVES???!!!

Gimmie a break already. I for one expect to see plenty of those cars sitting in our "used car" lots after people trade them in for the next great thing.

I agree with Infamous. It may actually be a smart move, or it may not. If the Challenger comes out next year, the car will be a few years old by the time the Camaro comes out and folks will be ready to trade them in. The novelty will have worn off and folks could be buying the Camaro at that point. That is if retro is still a good selling point by then, which may be the deciding factor.

So whats that? mid to late 2009? or early 2010? or will they pull a new gen tahoe and have the same model year two years in a row(i.e. calling the feb 06 made tahoe's 2007)

since there wil be no 09 model, I will not be in a rush to save up for that year....(since I have a 69)....I will now set my hopes on a 45th Ann. year..... by then they will have the new car quirks worked out, and I'll get a nifty 50 cent "45th" badges glued on the dash and fenders. I bet that'll add 10 HP!
