Angry 4th gen fan help

I have a 94 camaro and the fan in the radiator is not turning on and the engine overheats. I have to run the heat on high to keep the temp regulated. This sucks when its 90 degrees out. Ive checked the wiring to the fan and it seems fine, i put direct power from the battery to it and the fan turns on, and i checked the coolant. Two relays are missing, coolant fan #2 and #3. When i bought the car i didnt have this problem, till about a month after buying it. Those two relays werent there when i bought it and i didnt have this problem. What else may be causing the fan to not be working?

Any suggestions?

Replace the relays first. The outside temperature could be the reason you never had a problem until now. Camaros and vettes are great at staying cool on the road but pull no air hardly at a stop especiall y with no fans. Replace the relays first and then I will be able to help. By the way what engine is in your ride so I can better help you

its a 3.4L V6... i also checked the relays today and they are all working fine. could it possibly be a faulty thermostat or sensor??

If in fact the fan relay(s) are working properly and there are no blown fuses, my next guess would be the temp. sensor on the engine.

I agree. Check your temperature sensor.

ok so after working on the car for a few days this is what i found...
-the sensor had been replaced by the previous owner, and the sensor is new and working
-one of the ground "prongs" in the fans relay has shorted out
i put a wire from another ground to the relay to turn the fan on so it doesnt ruin the engine and cause more severe problems... so i think its a ground wire issue somewhere between the relay box and the fan motor...
if you have any ideas on what to look for to find the problem, any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
