Hasn't rained in Dallas in almost 2 months, friggin' rediculous. Now, we're under a watering ban, we can only run the sprinklers once a week, and it was 101 today, forecast is 100 for the next week, there's no rain in sight! My yard looks like crapola..............

It has been raining a bunch here in the east.

Its cold here, a couple frosts, down to 60deg F (15c) during the day, Rain one moment its fine, next pissing down.
Oh well cant complain thu, it happens this time every yr in the Sth Hemisphere.

You guys can come up to Indiana and get some rain. There are still some guys left that aren't finished planting yet. There is a bunch of corn up here that has been planted 3 times, and it is still getting drowned out.

We've had a weird rainy season here in NE Oklahoma. We went for months and months with no rain, then got a ton over about a 1 week period, and now back to no rain at all. I am not going to complain too much though...when I came home for good I hadn't been here in a month and the grass was so friggin tall I had to "pre-cut" most of my property with a brush hog before my riding mower could handle it! My tree's are doing good, although if we don't get more rain here soon I am going to have to start watering again. Now that I am working outside most of the time, I really am not looking forward to upper 90's/low 100's and high humidity!

I don't know what got struck, but about 4 AM, I got shook awake by a crap of thunder from a bolt of lightening that I swear hit our chimney!!

I need to go walk around the neighborhood and see which tree got nailed??

Or maybe it was the tower up on the corner?????

One thing about the rain last night!! We musta got 3 to 4 inces or so!!

I just finished pulling weeds out of our landscaping and the ground is so saturated that they just pulled right out!!

Way cool to me b/c I was sure dreading using onna those forked dandilion tools!!

mostly just been cold n gray here, almost wish it would rain.
But hey, I took down 10 60 foot pines yesterday, got a place to put the pool now!
Tree huggers, relax, I got 80 pines left, plus a trio of maples that'll take your breath away in the fall.

I sure do hop the guy with the chipper shows up tomorrow on schedule, I got trees stacked in both driveways, on the lawn, just about every peice of open land on the proerty! That's one big chipper, too. They use a bobcat with "jaws" on it, feed the whole tree in, whoosh, it's dust!

It's pretty much even, Paul.
I'm leaning toward labor day, 'cept I was hoping to do the SYV Reunion in St.Louis this year, not sure if the wife will let me escape again tho, especially on the traditional last party weekend of summer and with a new pool, too.

Paul we in Florida have also gone two months since our last rain fall when we had four inches in an afternoon. Predicting eight inches for Tampa tomorrow. That should bring us back up to our annual average for the year so far; so the Chamber of Commerce won't have to reprint new flyers saying how swell it is here.
