I am in the process of building an 86 t-top camaro, its a 305 carb car, 700r4 A/C car. The car is from AZ. I am building the car as a cruising machine. Its aim is for gas mileage, torque. I have located the factory 15" iroc/z28 wheels. which I am looking for a company to refinish the wheels or powder coat them. The look of this car is going to be mostly stock, am interested in mods that will enhance the car.
My question is, has anyone used a set of vortec heads on one of these engines, and what results did they get. The present heads are of cstg#416 w/1.94/1.5 valves. They are going to be bowl blended for velocity to build torque. The camshaft is an isky that I have used in many 305 engines with very good success. It is very mild. Are there any modifications that need to be done with suspension, appearance, or any other areas that the members have used and worked successfully? All respones will be welcome. I'm looking for ideas/information. Thanks for allowing the membership. Street Performance Mike |

Welcome. Do some searching, but from what I have read the Vortecs work well in any car.
Don't over look www.thirdgen.org for 3rd gen info! |
