Default Iroc Z Quote! $$

I went and looked at a 1989 Iroc Z convertible, 305tpi, 5 speed, allegedly 55K original miles, but it showed wear with faded seats from the sun and the paint. I wish it wasn't that ugly red. The color looks Maroon, but it's actually that Dark Red Metallic.
If I could buy it, I'd re-paint it a Real Dark Red, not that burgandy color GM called red in 1989.
It has No Rust, no dents, it just looks like it needs a new fresh paint job. I was thinking the odometer could of already rolled over, but it's too clean to have 155K. How much do you think it's worth?

...Opinions are apreciated!

www.nada.com lists it between $4,000 to $5,000. If it needs paint I would offer $4,000 and see where it goes.
I had an 88 350 IROC that was red. Not the dark maroon but red. Lots of fun with nitrous. In my opinion the 88 and 89 year cars were the best of the 3rd gen cars.
