Default 3rd gen. drag car?

hello Im new to the forum so I not sure if Im posting this in the right place but a friend and I are going to build a 3rd gen. bracket car and we are shooting for a low 13 or high 12 sec car.we are starting with a stock 350 and a automatic trans and plan on running about a 100 shot of NOS.So if you guy have any suggestions on:carb, intake, cam, heads, pistons, converter, and gears it would be greatly apperciated.

Welcome aboard. You might want to check out the performance forum. I think you will find you can get into the 12-13 range without the Nitrous. You would probably be a little more consistent which means a lot in bracket racing. Best of luck

I have a 1991 Camaro that is in the process (the process is on hold now) of being turned into a quarter miler. I'm shooting for much quicker times than what you are looking for, but her's what I've done so far.

The rear has been back halved and a 9" installed with 5.51 gears and a four link has been fabricated. A alcohol injected 327cu has been built to be shifted at 8,500 or 9,000 RPM. A full 10 point cage with extra bracing has been built and aluminum floors have been installed. The front suspension is basically stock, but that might change before all this is over and I might end up making this a full tube chassis car. Think about what you want out of the car in the future, then build it. It's easier and cheaper to do it right the first time, believe me.

Good luck, the 3rd gens make great drag cars, but don't expect the stock driveline to take all that much abuse.
