i RECENTLY PURCHASED A 73 CAMARO WITH A 383 W/
10.3 TO 1 COMPRESSION,COMP CAMS XE284H,RPM AIR-GAP MANIFOLD,1.5 ROLLER ROCKERS,PORTED & POLISHED 041 STOCK IRON HEADS,AND A 725 ROAD DEMON CARB.i ALSO HAVE A TH350 TRANNY W/A B&M TORKMASTER 3000 STALL.THE REAREND CONSIST OF A 10 BOLT W/NO POSI AND EITHER 273 OR 308 GEARS..CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME APPROX HOW MUCH HORSE POWER & TORQUE i HAVE.iALSO WANTED TO KNOW WILL THE 10 BOLT HOLD UP.THE CAR IS TO SEE MOSTLY STREET DRIVING & SOME STRIP DUTY.DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?MY GOAL IS LOW12'S TO HIGH 11'S.I ALSO HAVE PATRIOT 1 5/8 HEADERS WITH 2 1/2 INCH EXHAUST W/2 CHAMBER FLOWMASTERS.ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. With a set of 3.42 to 3.73 gears, plus upgrading your torque convertor to at least a holeshot 3000 convertor, you should be in the mid-high 12's if you can get traction. The torkmaster series of convertors are not really made for that kind of output...I've broken them behind hopped up 305's in heavy cars! You should have a 8.5" 10 bolt in there...it is plenty strong.
