It all depends on any mods that were done to the camel humps. Before all this new technology people had to port the camel humps. Some people knew what they were doing and got some big numbers from ported camel humps. But with all the aftermarket stuff availible I don't know why anyone that's going to spend money would keep them.

I went from stock home ported and polished 400 heads (1.94/1.6) to Protpoline 200's (2.05/1.6) and am 1 full second and 8 MPH faster in the 1/4. Not quite a good comparison but you can see the gain.

Mine have gasket matched intake runners, 164cc runners and 62.5 cc chambers with 1.94 / 1.5 valves.
The new heads are 200cc runners 2.02/1.6 64cc chambers and im going to pocket port and gasket match only.

As long as you have enough carb/intake to feed them, you should feel a considerable difference. 164 to a 200 is fairly substanial. Your other heads would've worked well on a small to medium cu in small block with a cam with duration @.050 around 224 max. 164cc would have gave up around 5000 rpm. They probably made good torque down low. The new heads would accomodate medium to larger cu in with a cam duration @.050 up to 250ish. With the right compression it would be a well rounded package.

Yeah im at 11.57:1 (11.32:1 I think with the new heads though) and 252/260 @ 50 duration. I think my whole combo was begging for more air! The old heads did fall off at 6,300 on the dyno.
