Anyone see the Schwartz full chassis for the Chevelle/Camaro ? Input? Ideas? Opinions? Sure it's 12K, but a DSE front sub. is between 6&7K. I like that in the article, it states it can be put under a first gen. Camaro without any mods. to the body.
Look what this guy did with an '82 Caddy! LOL

No replies? Sorry........I guess this is just way over the top. More than pro-touring. This is real racecar stuff. BTW, you can buy the chassis for $2995.
The 12K is a roller. When you think about what you're getting, I think it's a bargain. I have a feeling that this setup on a roadcourse would shame a so-called "pro-touring" car.

Tried to post a link to a thread at pro-touring, didn't work. It is about the new chassis. Go over and do a search, you'll find it.

Kevin Oeste od V8TV is doing a Camaro project for SEMA using the Schwartz chassis. Here is a link to a thread where Kevin posts a daily update video on the thrash to make SEMA. You can see the chassis going together on one of the videos. Fun to watch the progress, especially from where they started.

I didn't look too much into it but what kind of rear suspension would you use when using the full frame from Schwartz?

...you might want to check out our Max-G chassis. We've already had customers run 8's in the quarter mile, and others running 200+MPH with our setup.

Hey matt, so how much cutting is involved in a Max-G. It says the majority of the trunk, floorpan and firewall. Just wondering what the specifics were on it. Thanks.

In most cases, the floorpan and trunk has to be re-fabbed, but most of the firewall can be left in place. You're basically channeling the body over the frame, such that the bottom of the rocker pinchweld is flush with the bottom of the new chassis. But don't kid yourself, this is a big project. The nice part is the new floor you lay down is completely flat, which makes it alot easier.
This allows you have have the body to be 5" or lower off the ground (take a tape measure to see how low 5" really is), and still be streetable.
