Question Original 67 Camaro dash pad value?

Well heres the deal. I am seeing some of the prices for parts on e-pay and I need a few $$$ for my project. I am thinking that for my needs an aftermarket dash pad will sufice so heres the question.

What is a 67 Dash pad worth that is in PERFECT condition, no cracks, all the mounting studs are in excellent shape, the side areas where the piller post molding come down are perfect and not peeling, it's black.

When I bought my 67 they guy I bought it from came by with it and said I could have it. It was brand new in the GM box. He bought it in 1971 because the dash had cracked and never put it on. I installed not long after getting it from him and that was in 1996.

Thanks
Joe

I bought one off of Ebay about 6 months ago for $160. It was a screaming deal, and only a couple of us were bidding on it. But I have seen one go for close to a grand. That one was in a box and was black too.

I have a 67 Firebird dash I got on Ebay for 80.00 shipped. Perfect condition, no cracks or fading. I got VERY lucky somehow. Dash looks beautiful in my car. I have yet to see one in this condition since, being offered on Ebay or at a swap meet for what I would consider reasonably priced. I would have paid 200.00 for the one I have.

Would asking $500.00 be out of the universe?? Don't flame me just asking opinions here. I guess it would have to be a good sum like that to make me happy with a re-pop one.

Thnking of trying e-pay but ??

You can ask whatever you want. There is an ass for every seat. I can tell you that I have seen people ask a $1,000 for these pads. I bought one absoulutly mint for $180 on ebay a few months ago. It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it and whatever you are willing to sell it for. Good luck

Too bad it's not blue. You will fair well on ebay, it's just boxing it up and shipping it so it doesnt get damaged. That will be the biggest pain.

500 is dreaming, 300 is probably top dollar, if you catch the right buyer at the right time..........IMHO. KZ

Thnaks for the opinions everyone. Good input KZ, as you sell on e-bay I figure you would know a price.

I hate to say it but it sure is tempting to want to take advantage of some of the prices parts can bring. On the other hand even if I did get $500.00 for it I have been thinkig that replacing a perfect orginal part for repop is well..................stupid just to get a few extra bucks for my project.

Thanks
Joe
