My name is Mel and I currently reside in San Dimas, Sunny So-Cal.
After high school back in '80's I owned an L.A. built '67 RS-SS 350 Camaro w/ a built LT-1, M22, 12 bolt posi w/ 4:56's and Guldstrand suspension (I was Mulholland Drive racer in the Hollywood area back in those days!!) which I sold in 1992. For the last 10 years or so I've owned an L.A. built 50 50 on 723 '69 Z with the original 302 DZ still in it which I rebuilt about 6 years and 1500 miles ago. M20, 12 bolt posi w/ 3:73's, Dick Guldstrand front coils, gas shocks, poly bushings, radials on rally's, needless to say a fun car. This car was originally a non-tach car and I just installed an original used 6,000/8,000 rpm tach in the car which I purchased on ebay about 2 or 3 years ago,(finally a little inspiration/motivation!) Although it may not be technically correct, since I've seen a few examples which preceded mine with the 6000/7000 unit, I really dig it since it works beatifully. I'm in the process of installing a center fuel gauge as the car's a non-console car. If anyone has any leads on an original NOS or used center fuel gauge I'd greatly appreciate it. Anyhow, I was fishing around for some technical info on the fuel gauge install and stumbled on to this web site, seems like a pretty cool site looking forward to sharing info w/ all. |

Welcome aboard! You'll find the answers to your questions on this site. IMHO - no need to go anywhere else. Bunch of great people, and loits of knowledge.

Welcome Mel to TC! I'm also from the area and I am familiar with Mulholland as well as Decker canyon
Those were the days......Saturday nights coming back from PCH taking a detour through Decker canyon meeting up with someone always wanting to see who could be the first one to make it back to Westlake blvd. Those were some wild and crazy times! Glad to have you aboard
