Ok, I just seen this ad in the classifieds section, I am assuming that this must be an alternator that originally came on a Z/28 since it was restored by Jerry McNeish. I can hardly believe the prices on some of these parts. I know I don't have the same part but it got me thinking, I have a 69 Delco Remy alternator with the part number 1100843 61A, 9A29 121 E0. First things first can someone decode this and then tell me how much it is worth to someone looking for this date?

Ok I had forgot that I had a Chevy by the numbers book, so my alternator decodes out to:
Camaro, Std. & Deluxe, L6 230, 307, L6 250, 302, 327, 350, 396, 427(COPO), 1100843- V-8 A/C 61 Amp 9A29= 1969, January 29th production 12 (1?)= 12 volt, negative ground? E0=??? Besides the Z/28, which other cars could not come with A/C? Also since it says V-8, I guess the L6's are eliminated as well. The question still remains. What could this be worth?

Not worth near as much as the Z alternator.

I gave $35 for a 9C7 dated #843 for my Z10, about a year ago at a swap meet. I've seen them for a little more and a little less.
Hope that helps. Eric |

I got my 843 at an alternator shop. $50 rebuilt. It would be correct for any 69 Camaro with A/C. That would exclude Z/28, L78, L72. If CBN says it's correct for 302, 396/375, or 427/425 (COPO) then it is incorrect.

I guess I got a deal. Only paid $700 for my #837 a couple of years ago. Got my shifter cheap also.
