Default Hello! 1969 Camaro owner once again

I have been posting up here for awhile and wanted to introduce myself. MY name is Jeff and this is the 3rd '69 Camaro I have owned and probably the 12th F-body I have owned. It is a true RS V8 auto trans car. I picked it up locally off of Craigslist back in May. For the most part she is about 80% restored. I have been working on making it more reliable to drive, fixing small things, and changing the front end over to the standard grill setup due to current budget reasons and tired of looking at a very incomplete RS setup. So far I love this site and look forward to meeting any members that are in the Austin or central Texas area. Below are some pics of my car.

Thank you for all the compliments guys. Unfortunately I do not have the headlight doors. I went back and forth on dropping the cash for a complete RS setup but just could not justify spending a grand right now. I picked up a full standard grill setup for $400 so I am going to roll with that for now. Once I get it on I will post up some new pics.

Hardway,
$400 bucks seems like a waste of money, I would just save the 400 and put it towards the grand later when you have it. The car looks great how it sits, and like everyone else on this site there is always something to be done so don't worry about it. Especially since it is an original RS. JMHO.

Welcome to TC from California!

I agree with the 400.00 is a waste of money on the standard grill parts. What parts are you missing. I just put the RS front end on mine but I manually open them. I live in the Houston area.

Welcome Hardway and nice 69 for sure. Enjoy the car and do what you wish. The only 1 cent I would add is think it out carefully as I have made decisions concerning money that several years later I kicked myself for doing. No matter what, you have a nice 69

Yeah, save the $400 and save toward the whole enchelada. Pointless to spend that kind of change when it looks perfectable as it is. I think that I heard Bush once use that word so it's gotta be a good one!!! Maybe he meant to say restpectable. A good looking car you've got there. Jim
