I have a 1969 Corvette 427 512block 435hp 3 deuce 4 speed motor that is standard bore, T1120LR deck stamp (No fake stuff here) with a Jan 16, 1969 date. Got new 223 standard GM forged crank, H beam rods and 11.1 Keith Black pistons. Have the correct 840 heads that are in shop being freshened up (not sure of dates),L88 solid cam and GM 163 Intake. I plan to have motor completly assembled and balanced. I was going to build a COPO clone but decided to possibly just sell the engine. The engine has a great date A169 and its all complete. How much do you think its worth? I have seen these going anywere from $5,000 - $20,000. Thanks for any help!!

My ex sister in law has a 69 427 4 speed convertible vette and just went through the whole car. Not a frame off but a nice rebuild. She had the 427 motor done up and paid about $4,000 not counting goodies. It seem's you are in the ballpark ( be it a big ballpark ) with the $5,000 - $20,000.
FYI total job , engine, paint, wheel, tires, etc cost $30 K Kev |
