I think it's worth whatever somebody's willing to pay for it.

$100k + cars generally don't sell by way of a classified ad. You need to take this car to an auction.

I think your right but I just sold my crossram on the classified so there are people out there that have the means. The yenko guys checked it out when it was on ebay last time so that may be the place to do it once again. I dont like ebay though. I may try it at BJ this spring.

What's the history on the car and the engine? I'm not really up on Can-Am but understand it was kind of a no holds bared. McLaren sported a ZL-1 in '68 and won big with the alum 427 making upwards of 640hp. Was Yenko involved in Can-Am racing? Did Chevy sport a car to compete with the Lola, Mclarens, Porsches and others?

Car is very nice...

Surprising enough, I have offers to 130k the first day of exposure on this site. I think the offers are legit. We will see how it goes.

Thanks. I am currently getting as much paper work as I can from the previous owner. The can am engine has a different bore than the 427 and has almost 500 inches. I think in the 700ish hp range.

Money talks and BS walks. When that check is cashed and the money is in your hand, or hopefully, in your bank account, then you can celebrate. Until then, I think you're just wishful thinking. That being said, I really love the car, especially that color combination. If you really want to get top dollar for it, put it on eBay, all the fools with more money than sense hang out there.........

I have yet to see any of the tribute Zl1's get over 100K. They have been real close and I like them better than a real plain Jane looking COPO. Lately, The real Yenkos and Copos have had a hard time pulling in 140K.

If I was going to spend 130K, I would rather buy several cars. Whoa, the wife just popped into my head and put an end to those thoughts. No dear, I was just joking......I know one Camaro is enough.....You are right, dear......Im sorry. I have to go now.

What are you thinking? That was just what I was thinking. The 4 bolt main big block market is just now starting to boom, which engine is the king? This engine is money in the bank, hold on to it. Quit thinking of what it is worth today and see what happens down the road. In terms of rarity and desirability what surpasses this motor? Only down side would be blowing it up.

Oh yea, I think your just showing off your golden goose and have no intentions of selling. Sharp car and yes, I like it. I think its more of a "ZL1 engine holder/transporter" instead of a tribute car! Phil

One thing for sure, Its easy to tell the jealous guys from the ones that appreciate a car no matter what the value or its rareness. The car is for sale. It has been bought and sold a few times here between collectors.
