Default Window Trim Removal

Any advice on how to remove the front and rear window trim on a 69 Camaro? Also, does the rain gutter trim just snap off?

Thanks for your help!

The front and back glass is held on with clips. They sell a tool that slides under the chrome ( from the window side ) and catches these clips. It actaully grabs the clip and when you turn the tool it unlatches from the chrome. Go to a Auto Parts store and ask for the tool. They make a couple of different designs. The bottom front window chrome is bolted on. One small screw in the door jambs and when you remove your valance panel you will see the other screws.

I have heard of using the old style bottle openers to get the side chrome off with. Just use it like taking the bottle cap off. It is a real pain to get off with out damaging it. Just take your time and be gentle.

Try searching the database if you need more info. I read many many posts about the rain gutter moulding and I'm planning to leave it in place rather than risk damaging it. I had to remove the front section only due to some rust.
