This may seem fishy after the recent threads on here, but I swear this is an honest question. A buddy called this morning asking what a '69 Yenko al. block with the papework from time of purchase ( over the counter) would be worth. I could guess, but I really don't know. He says he thinks it can be bought. Any ideas? Seriously, not just for fun! I promise not to get mad!

From all the info I have gathered,Yenko aluminum blocks started being sold by Don Yenko in 1978.Pat Musi of NJ used one in his Chevy Monza Pro Stock.I have a 1979 Magazine article on this car,shows the Yenko Crest painted on the front fender of the car.Says they cost $2595.00 back then and came in 2 flavors,your garden variety 427 with the standard 4.25 x 3.76 inch dimensions and a 495 cubic inch Cam-Am version derived from a poked and stroked 4.44x 4.50 chevy truck block sporting an extra .300 inch tall deck height.Pat's was a total of 527 cubic inches.Mentions that Yenko Sportscars in McMurray PA has acquired the rights to the chevy molds and is presently using the same foundry to produce both ZL1 and high deck truck blocks in weight saving aluminum.Mentions the Yenko unit features reinforcing webbing around the lifter valley and rear main bearing areas,siamesed bores with thick removable s teel liners,a refined high capacity oiling system.....Dan
