Anybody ever clone this car? or seen one? 1977 Bill Mitchell Concept Camaro
I really love those Minilite wheels... It looks like they started with a 77 Z28 (w/painted window trim and bumpers).

I had a couple of the 1980 Bill Mitchell huggers (90 made) over the years. Much more gaudy then this one. I will try to find some pics.

Would you happen to know the car numbers that you owned and/or where they are now?
I am attempting to put together a database with as much info as possible on these cars and could use any info that you might offer. Thanks, Tjdboo@yahoo.com |

I actually had 3 over the years, one that I kept and RUINED! I cannot remember the other 2 numbers, they were typical orange with tan interior cars like most of them. I just bought them played with them and sold them.
The one I ruined was number 6, a black one rumored to be the only one built with black interior. When I got it, it was a pretty virgin car with really badly faded strips and the front spoiler missing, obviously broken. I totally modified it and left it completly UN reconizable as a Hugger. it was simply to slow and too stock for me. And I could not find anyone to duplicate the stripes. And I got a offer from a suspension company to sponsor the suspension with a badd ass (at the time) new system they had, and out came the torch! I would have to dig up a pic of what it looked like when it was redone. But the most reconizable thing would be it had a dealer installed power moon roof in it! Really nice one too. this car was rumored to have sat on the dealer showroom for a long time, a year or more at the dealer in Ft lauderdale that sold the 20? I cannot remember the dealer name now. Rumor was he ordered it special with black interior instead of tan as part of the 20 order. When I finished it, it has a Corvette Transverse leaf spring in front, fiberglass leafs out back, Was painted black and I used a factory 1980 Z28 stripe kit as a stencil to make the stirpes in purple but in the perfect factoy layout. It also had polished 85 IROC Camaro wheels with purle accents in the center. Remember this was 1991! The window straps were removed, so as I said, totally UN reconizable as a hugger. It had a desmoged hot little small black, a muncie 4 speed and a 79 WS6 Trans Am Disc brake rear in it I stuffed with 3.73s. Yeah, I know, I killed it! In 1995 or so it went to Jacksonville, then to North Carolina, someone saw it at the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona for sale 10 years ago, said it still looked to be in great shape. I would buy it back today for the $10K I sold it for in a second. It was a great car when I finished it.

I cant figure out how to attach a photo, but I have this car photo now.
Email me and I will send a copy to you. If you can remember the other numbers, I would greatly appreciate it. I currently have two of these cars. #47 Orange and #19 Yellow. I have located approximately 30 of the cars so far. Thanks, Tim Tjdboo@yahoo.com |

One more thing, Do you have any of the old parts, the window straps, steering wheel, wheels, windshiels straps, etc.?
I have the stipe kits, front spoilers, Hella Lights, etc. If you need any of these, let me know. Tjdboo@yahoo.com |

Back then to do the stripes all i could get done was multiple stripes and stack them. Now with stripe printers so available it makes a huge difference. Sad thing is if i could have reproduced the stripes, I would probably have done that theme, maybe modified the suspension. That and if I could have found a front spoiler Remembering the other 2 numbers, no way.

Thanks Frank,
I appreciate your time. As i said, FYI, if you run across another car, I have the stripes, spoilers, etc. I have almost everything to restore these cars. I also have people wanting to purchase them. Also, if you run across car #28, not the race car, but one of the Huggers, then I am very interested in that car. Keep me in mind. Thanks again. Tim |
