Default 160 Thermostat

Where do you get the 160 thermostat for the LT1? I can't seem to locate one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

The 4th gen guys all run 160 stats as a performance mod. For it to work the computer has to be reprogramed along with the lower temp stat. In the end it tricks the engine into running more timing and does make a performance improvement...

Ron the stat should be available over the counter at most parts places. If not try www.tbyrnemotorsports.com or www.slponline.com You still will need an ODBII Scanner to re-program for the stats temp change

There u are then lol
I do not own, have antrhing to do with nor ever done anything with modern computerised , fuel injected, electric windows, plastc cars.
I look at my 69, other than the odd tie rod end, radiator, a few tyres and batteries, it has served me well for over 20 yrs...
The other cars, a 47 Bradford has a demister that does ever break in over 50 yrs, on the door is a pocket, in there is a rag, it hasnt even an ignition switch to go wrong..A 88 suburu, a basic car, no friils and comfortable seats...can start it up without any worries do a trip of several 1000 miles without a thought of a problem...

So a 4th gen has a 160 deg huh...Well I now know something about them lol.
