Default Alternator Upgrade confusion

Hopfully someone here at Team Camaro can chim in
Has anyone here with a 1969 Camaro successfully upgraded their stock passenger side engine mounted GM Alternator and external voltage regulator to a 3 wire internal voltage regulated 105A CS130 Alternator?, utilizing their original long water pump mounting brackets?
If so, which CS130 Alternator was used? And what bracketing modifications were necessary if the origional bracketing could not be used?
Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Alternator Upgrade confusion

I upgraded mine over the years. It was originally a 37 amp. But during the interim I installed a Moroso aluminum water pump and trashed the original brackets. (mistake) Then Edelbrock came out with aluminum stock-style reproductions. But by that time I was only using the pivot bolt. To increase the alternator output I went with a Summit 100amp kit. It works well. My most recent change was to relegate the original deep grove pulley to the 'memory parts' box. The new small pulley is deep and 'machined' too, but smaller in diameter so that it charges at idle. WORKS! (Charging is a challenge because of the electronic stuff I've added over the years) The top bracket is home made.
Oh, 3 wire INTERNAL regulated??? How? Why? Never heard of 'em. But hey, I live in the wild west.
