It is time to renew my collector car insurance and I would like your opinion as to the value. I purchased this car as a 62,000 mi unrestored original 1969 SS350 with very good original paint, zero rust, mint interior-Irovy Houndstooth, 4 speed, original ZL2 car, 3:31 posi, factory spoilers, console gauges. It has POP, chassis broadcast, invoice, and all records since new. I have removed the original engine for safe keeping and installed a ZL-1 (new replacement block) w/all NOS ZL-1 internals, correct carb, heads, smog, manifolds, distributor, etc. all done correctly with correct bolts, clamps. Its runs excellent.

At least $45K in my opinion. Thats what my 69 350 with original components is insured for.

The calender in my garage is stuck at June (2005) because your's is the car of that month! How many of us have had their car in a calender? Not I.
On value, ask yourself what it would cost to find another like that. For insurance purposes 50K easy and it might cost $360 a year, wooperdoo. I'm sure you have a copy of that calender? |

Hey Dayton, I see you still have my old "Z". Give me a shot at it if you ever decide to sell. I finally finished my '69, check it out if you get time. Link is in my sig.
Garry Guys if you don't know, I bought the '68 he has in 1970 for $1950.00, sold it in '74 for $2500.00. It was completely stock and in near perfect condition. I tracked it down a few years ago to a guy in NC who restored the car the first time. We have since become good friends and as a matter of fact I am painting a '69 for him right now. I lost track of the car in AL and just happened across Dayton here in the forums one day. I still have the owners manual and a VA registration from '72. I gave him the vin and he told me he had my old car! Damn small world! And no I don't have the POP.
