Default Next Upgrade?

Need some help. I have a 2002 SS that i want to do some more modifications on. Im not much of a car techy but i have put jet hot headers, bassani exhaust, Hurst Pro 5.0 shifter, and a K&N Ram air kit on my SS myself. Wondering where i should go from here? I dont want to do any major overhauling cuz thats something im not capable of, but i want to make it faster. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have taken care of most the bolts ons. You could now turn your attention to suspension and add a little more fun to the handeling aspect of your car. Subframe connectors, Strut tower Brace, Rear LCAs, Pan Hard Bar, new springs struts and shocks of your choice and you'll notice a hell of a differene.

Or if your looking for more power, your about due for a new cam and tune. A lot of my buddies who had a similar setup as you dropped a TR-224/224 cam in, got a tune and were at the 375 RWHP mark. Your at the point where ponies are becoming expensive as you climb up that horsepower chart. Be ready to shell out some money as you desire to go faster.

Good luck.

Yeah i am going to put on the eibach springs. I was thinking of putting a bigger cam in it. I wasnt quite sure how difficult the install was. Any idea? I appreciate the advice too. Thanks.

Here is a nice little "how to" on swapping cams in the ls1 engine. If you have the tools and the knowledge you'll be ok. If one or the other is missing then I would just pay someone the $400 and ensure its done right.

Comp Cams is always a safe place to shop for a cam. Look them up and give them a call. You can tell them what you have and what you are expecting to do with the car and they can recommend what would work for you. If you have an auto you'll have to keep your torque converter in mind when picking out your cam because the more aggresive cams require a higher stall. If you have a stick, dont worry about that and just get it tuned after the install and your set. Do you have to deal with emmisions where you live, if so take that into consideration too.

If you want another place to shop around as well check out www.thunderracing.com. As I mentioned before, a few of my buddies have used their cams and are very happy with them as well.

there are LOTS of places that specialize in late model motors...one of them is F.A.S.T. they are great with MPFI motors, especially chevy's
