I don't know for a fact but my guess is that car has about 16-18 gal tank from the factory...

At www.rockauto.com they sell the owners manual for your car. It's about $7 and would tell you exactly what it holds.

Or just run it out of gas, then put in a gallon, drive to the gas station and filler er' up.

Actually, you have the bigger tank in your car from the factory. The 2.5L engines came with the 16 gallon fuel tank while the later fuel tanks for the following years only came with a 15.5 gallon depending on the year and engine size.

Don't listen to everything everyone tells you. Check your owners manual or look in a Chilton's Repair manual under the specifications for your fluid capacities. I know some guys who know just about everything and if you know something they don't they surely won't admit it.

Or maybe there is more than one way to find something out.

I had a 87 Camaro years ago...and off the top of my head I can't remember the tank size, but it was tiny...I was constantly stopping at the gas station to fill up...just one of the many things I hated about that car.

The "specifications" section of your owner's manual will have the fuel tank capacity listed.
