Want to put a Targa style roof on my Fiero and I had MANY suggestions to come here because you guys deal with convertible Camaros all the time. I need to strengthen the frame and I welcome all advice. No flames please.....I've got a 71 T/A too, so I'm an F body person. Thanks to all!

Well, I'll get the ball rolling.

Welcome! I love fiero's. Needs a V8.

On the verts, the rockers are significantly thicker steel on the inner panel. There's also reinforcement plates going across under the rear seat and a metal 'x-shaped' reinforcement plate that goes across the car approx mid-way, following the floor contour. Many install either welded or bolt-on subframe connectors to span the distance between the front and rear frames. Good luck. How about a 355 fiero?

Thanks for the info Rick. I think I'll keep my V8's for my F bodies....got a 71 T/A 455HO. Wanna put a 3800 V6 Supercharged in my Fiero.......so many things....so little time.......and money.....LOL
