68 Camaro, 305 TPI with all of the smog stuff out of an 85 IROC. Need expert opinions on removing stock exhaust and just putting regular headers on it (no EGR tubes).
First, do I need the tubes and smog pump crap? Second, will removing all of that and putting headers on improve any performance? Third, any idea how to hook up the heater to a TPI setup? Only 1 hose is hooked up to the intake, not sure where the 2 hoses should really go. Thank You! -shoe |

If your in CA, then the hooker 2055s should work. I have them on my 88. They have the smog tubes and stuff to meet all the polution requirements. They come with the cross pipe. They bolted up pretty easily, but you will have to adapt some of the mounts that connected the the cast iron flanges. They can also be a pain to get in. Look at http://thirdgen.org and they have tons of info - including install help. This is the place to also look for your other answers.
