A question for you pro street guys with narrowed rears and huge tires.
Are they very street-able ? do they hop when turning a tight corner ? Do they tear up diffs ?

your not going to take a turn doing 50mph but you dont need to go 5mph it really depend on the rear weather it it a spool , locking rear or limited slip I run one for the street 4:11 and on the track i run a spool with 4:56----------9 inch

I have a Ford 9" factory posi 4:11 gears, narrowed 23 inches. Rear 15x15 wheels w/Mickey Thompson Sportsmans (31x18.5x15). I have no "hop" issues at all driving on the street. With the exception of some poorly maintained roads in town, I'd say it rides fairly smooth. I wouldn't think you'd have any hop/drag type of problem unless you're running a spool.

I had the Hoosier Pro Street Radials (31 x 18.5 x 15) on the back of my Nova. Like softail02 said, you're not going to take a turn at high speed, but you don't need to creep around the corner either. It also depends on your rear suspension. I had to have mine stiffened up to control the body roll during turns. It wasn't great over the bumps, but it was streetable.

Have a spool w a 9 and 31x16.5x15. I dont have any prob if I run higher air pressure for cruising around, but w man steering and a spool it gives your forarms a workout. I thing the tires being so big absorb the wheel binding issuse you might have with a spool and smaller tires.

So they're not as bad as I thought are there any areas where they wear out drive train parts faster than normal ?
