Default Mcleod master cylinder

Finished the drill mod and am assembling the system again. Would anyone think it is a mistake to use a stainless 1/8" cotter pin instead of the roll pin used to secure the line to the master cylinder. It should be close to the same diameter. It would be nice to reach down there and snatch out the cotter to remove the line instead of removing the heatshield that is behind my headers to remove the whole unit. Of course, if it leaks, I'll have to remove everything to fix it.
