Pros:
general finished appearance, plastic support core
Cons:
bows out at top slightly, firmer than original

Panels don't include weatherstrip or ferrules. A hole must be cut through the plastic panel and vinyl for the '68 lock location (only the vinyl for the '69 location). Additionally, there are holes in the backing for the crank and door latch, and six spring clips - nothing else. I used 1/8"X1/8" steel rivets to attach the window felt with no problem. The construction is what I expected to get based on what I've read on this forum.

Good Points: Grain is a perfect match and vinyl material seems durable. Plastic back is much tougher than original paper based back. Basic shape and construction look right - lower 2/3 conformed well to the door. Height and width worked with little or no interference. I compared the width to my old panel and it was 1/2" less wide near the top (even less wide at the top two inches). The bottom of the panel was about the same with. The hole in the backing for the wiper crank was nearly perfect but its important to test fit carefully.

Bad Points: Foam core is dense, especially at the top. The embossed impressions aren't nearly as crisp as the original, but they probably made their own mould from an existing panel and suffered some loss of definition from the process. The contour of the plastic backing isn't quite right at the top (not curved enough); it tends to lift upwards so that the inner felt is raised above the outer felt especially after the pull handle is screwed in. None of the holes for the six spring clips that push into the door were in the right place. Because it was narrower than the original, I had to elongate the holes a bit. Door is a little harder to close - time will tell. All in all, the finished panel looks much better than the old worn out one despite the problems.
