Description:

Last night I replaced my old (purch. 2001) 2451's with new ones. Note car is a 68, Small Block, no a/c, AFR 195 eliminator heads (raised exhaust ports, straight plug)
They have changed.
Pass. side: Dropped right in from the top. Plug access excellent. NOTE: compared to the old ones, collector is 1" higher, and slightly closer to center of car.
Drivers side: is a LOT different. Pretty well slid right in, still needs to go up near verticle, but was much easier than getting the old one out. Did not need to jack engine up. Slightly less clearance to IROC power steering box, but still had some daylight. With the new header, I am now able to get the oil filter in & out without tipping it on it's side (8 qt pan with 1 1/2" kickout.) Will need to clearance #1 tube to get the connector back on my temp sensor. (Note this is a late model sensor with weatherpack connector for EFI system, stock sensor wire will probably fit.
Drivers side collector is 1" further away from center of car than old header.
Both collectors are now at the same height (pass side used to be lower.)
