Description: 67-68 Roof brace kit including all four braces, both front A pillar reinforcements, 3 headliner retaining strips and all five headliner bows with clips.

Average price #230.00 CAD

Pros: clean stampings with same or heavier gauge metal than stock.

Cons: Front and rear brace not sold separately from the kit (the ones most likely in need of replacement). At the time of review the middle brace had all the retainers for the center headliner bow completely stamped out requiring repair. The front brace has larger than stock holes where the headliner retainer screws on requiring repair. Lacking the top rear most headliner retainer strip.

Rating: 6/10

Suggestions: Inquire before purchasing the kit as to the state of the below noted defects. Inform your chosen vendor of your actual requirements to possibly move the manufacturer into selling individual braces

The parts are well packaged to endure the abuse of shipping in a heavy cardboard box and all the pieces have there own plastic wrappers. All the braces and the reinforcements appear of correct size and dimension to make the replacement process simple and fast. Upon comparison to the originals there are stand out differences in all the braces to the originals making them readily apparent as aftermarket reproduction pieces. Where there are factory screw holes in the front brace the replacement has 1/4" holes that will require filling. The center brace that has teeth stamped into it for catching and retaining the center headliner bow has been missed stamped and the teeth are missing requiring repair of the product to use it.

At the time of this review Dynacorn Industries has made their position clear that until they retool the line (may be years) that they will allow returns of the parts to the original vendor that sold them, however being as most people seem to be willing to eat the cost of time and money to repair the miss stamped pieces, they will not work with any purchasers to compensate them for loss.
