Anybody ever put REAR speakers in a 67 Convertible? I'm looking at the trunk or under the rear seat. Suggestions would be appreciated

I had the same problem and elected to install surface mount speakers in the trunk. It's a 67 convertable and the sound comes through pretty well. I couldn't find a good place to install flush mount speakers.

years ago, I mounted speakers under the top in a '67. Couldn't hear the damn things with the top down. In the '68 I just bought, I bit my tognue while I cut the doors for a pair of 6 by 9's in the lower rear corners. Put a 300 watt Jenson amp in the trunk just to make sure. I can hear them now!!!

I've go the factory 6x9s in my 67 RS Conv. Can't hear them when the top is down. They do ok when the top is up and I'm playing an 8 Track. They are strange speakers, 6x9x1.25" mounted in cardboard frames attached to the surface of the backside of the rear seat sheet metal.
