What is the proper method for removing the heater core in a '68 Camaro? Does it come out thru the engine compartment, or into the interior? Thanks in advance.

Hi 68 SS the heater core comes out from the inside of the car, after taking the blower motor off tale off the nuts on the engine side. Take off the heater hoses, then to the inside of the car all your heater cables and resister wiring. Take glove box out for easier access pull out the heater box and whalla there it is Good luck Garry.

Don't forget that you practically have to remove the paggenger side fender to get to all of the speed nuts holding the blower box in place.

I did my '69 and didn't have to touch the fender at all. I also took the time to clean up and paint the heater box since it was out of the car. I smelled that paint for about 3 months though...

In hindsight I wished that I would have put a big block core and replaced the cover. This way when (not if) I swap to a big block this part is taken care of and in the meantime I would have more room between the engine and hoses.
