Question

I have just installed a big block in my 71 Z This was a small block car. My problem is that I do not have hood clearance and I want to use the stock hood not a cowl hood or a hood scoop. I know I can get the motor lower because there is 1 1/2 to 2 inches of clearance under the oil pan. The fan shroud also has room at the bottom and the fan is real tight at the top. I have looked for big block motor mounts from suppliers and the mounts on the motor and the same part number big block or small block (I think) If any one has information or tips the help is greatly needed.

Check with the guys at http://www.nastyz28.com/cgi-bin/Ulti...i?action=intro

That board specializes in 70-81 Camaro's only and several of the guys have big-blocks or have swapped them in.

I used a LS-6 intake on oval heads. The 70 or later cast iron will work or I think the torker is suppose to fit.
