Can anyone help us with 1970-73 Rally Sport Z28 Grille emblems? Are they black numbers or white numbers(28)? Fender emblems are all four years black numbers(28)? Rear spoiler emblem, is it black numbers(28) and is it different than the fender emblem in physical size and mounting? We are currently searching for repos for our car. Any information where to puchase them? Thank you,
Stano and Annie

Stano - In the YearOne catalog I found all the repro's have the white '28'. The "new GM" look to be chrome or black '28'. I am not real up on gen2's but was thumbing through my YearOne book a while back and thought it odd. Good luck in your quest...

The other guys gave you good leads for the parts. Classic Industries has them in their catalog in both NOS and repro. In this case the repros are good quality.

One piece of trivia. For 1973 the rear emblem was changed to a foil sticker which Classic also sells.

If you are into 2gens you owe it to yourself to check out MadMike's message board as Doug suggests. Great group over there.

Thank you Doug for refering us to Mad Mike's. We were there last night to look for a message board and got sidetracked checking out his camaros. DjD we were looking in
Year 1 catalog and that is also what got this started. Trying to figure out whats on 1970, 71, 72, and 73. MikeM79 about two months ago we requested a catalog from Classic Industries. We made three phone calls and sent them an e-mail we had gotten out of Hemmings, with no reply or catalog. We did't know about the sticker instead of the emblem. We are looking for emblems, carpet, lock set, RS bumpers(front), rear bumper, Stripe Kit, and side marker lenses. We also should tell you that we are working on a 76 Camaro that we have welded a 72 rear clip and we have a 70-73 RS front and header to bolt to the 76 front fenders. The motor is 68. We are doing a winter project and saving a $200 Camaro. Hope to make a good driver.
Thank you,
Stano, Annie, and Amy

First of all God Bless You for saving such a car.

Now, onto the emblems. Dunno why you are having a hard time getting a CC catalog but now is a good time to order. They are running 10% off plus free shipping to "select customers" (if you still have a pulse and the money you are "select").

Toll free order line 800-854-1280.

Parts Numbers, etc.

Grille Emblems

70 - 71 part # G8161 $31.24
72 - 73 part # CM6823 $36.95

Fender Emblems
70 -74 part # G8184 $31.24 each

Rear Spoiler Emblem
70-71 G8196 $26.78

Rear Spoiler Foil Sticker
'73 cars for sure (maybe 72 also ask around)
part # DC92 $3.50 each (buy two, need one for the toolbox).

Hope this helps.

MikeM79 -- Thanks for replying with Classic Industries prices and parts list for emblems. Friday we sent faxes with a parts list to them. We will see what that brings back. We also sent a fax to our host, Ground Up. Also sent faxes to Year One and NPD. I do have a pulse so far and I do want to spend the money but it does seem odd that we haven't gotten any replies from Classic Industries. A friend of ours referred us to Classic Industries with a good rating and because of that referral we are holding back but we might put this car in a car show April 1. We are running out of time. We have dealt with Year One in the past with excellent service.
From the parts list you showed there must be a difference between 70-71 and 72-73 grill emblems. Was the 70-72 black numbers and was the 72-73 white numbers? Are we correct in assuming that all fender numbers were black 72-73? We found out from past postings that 70-71 spoiler emblem was metal and 72-73 was sticker. Are the spoiler emblems also black letters? Were all grills black (semi-gloss)? Thank you. Stano
