Question

What's is everyone's opinion on the use of hood insulation. Should it be used or not?

Does help knock the noise down some, and does give it more "original" appearance. It looks nice when you have a brand new one underneath, besides, they're cheap.

I think it is a must. It makes the interior MUCH quieter.

I agree with sr71bb. Hood insulation is a must, especially with a heavily modified engine.

Boomhauer, a trick someone told me is to install the insulation "upside down". The back side is a lot stronger and doesn't absorb dust like the front "cotton" facing does.

I think there is some benefit in protecting the paint on the hood as well.
