Wink

Have someone push the car and count how many times the drive shaft turns to one tire revolution.

Mark yout drive shaft and tire, jack rear tires off ground(use proper jack stands) rotate tire one revolution. Number of times drive shaft turns is approxamate gear ratio. Refer to known ratio offerd in rear end it will be closest match.

The Driveshaft turns approximately 1.6 revolutions per hub rev. What would the make the gear and do you know the formula?

For example, a 4:11 rear gear the drive shaft will turn 4.1 times to one tire revolution. Its impossible for your shaft to turn 1.6 times to one hub revolution.

Hope this helps

If you drive shaft only turned 1.6 times, you have an open diff and need turn the wheel two times. This will probably give you about 3.08 gears. The way pro tour and snake told you works only with Posi diffs.

Since its out of the car, you can look on the passenger side, forward facing axle tube and post those stamped numbers. They will tell you what gear ratio originally came in that rearend.
