I have 2 Tic-Toc-Tachs. One has a redline of 5000 while the other has a redline of 5500. Does anyone know what tach goes with what engine?

The 5000 redline is for a small block with hydraulic lifters. The 5500 redline is for a big block with hydraulic lifters. The 6000 redline is for a solid lifter engine, big or small block. Hope that helps.

I have a 6000rpm redline that is original in my '68 SS 396. I'm going to wait for it to go up a bit more in value, then trade the tach for another Camaro project.

I have a 5500 redline one that needs repair. If anyone has a damaged one to sell so I can make one good one, I'm desperate.

Jim M, there is a tach on ebay now. There is almost always one on Ebay for sale.
