Iv'e picked up heads #3946074 and intake #3885069 both are alum. the intake flange where the carb. goes is divided weird, to one side is one large hole and the other is 2 small holes. any body know why and what would these parts come from. I would like to use them for futue project. what would you recomend 427 or 454.

The heads are rebuilt and ready to run and intake is very good shape never been sandblasted what would you have paid for them.

Casting # 3946074, pair 427 2nd design L88 or ZL1 open chambered rectangular port aluminum heads. The intake was used on 1965 Corvette L78 396 or 375hp Chevelle motors, this flange was later revised to the more common dual oval pattern.
I have just bought some 842 aluminum heads that are closed chambered L89 and 1st design
L88 rectangular ports.
Those are some big ports and are used for high RPM motors....

Also have harmonic balancer #3970325 for big block and for internaly balance engine the first 90 degrees is marked at every degree and then every 90 is also marked . what is it
