I have a 67 RS on the P O P the # for tran. is S7C02 in the book I have it does not have the S code this car is a 3 speed STR. Drive in the floor with console, can some one tell me what the S is for if I am not wrong the 7 is for 67 and C is for March and 02 is for the day of the month. Any information would be appreciated, Thanks

i show no "s" where i looked:
maybe saginaw?
Transmission Number
K - McKinnon Industries four-speed
C - Cleveland Powerglide
M - Muncie three-speed R - Saginaw four-speed

P - Muncie four-speed
E - McKinnon Industries Powerglide
H - Muncie Heavy-Duty

B - Cleveland THM 350

This is what I come up with for S7C02;

S - Saginaw 3 speed except overdrive, car and truck
7 - 1967
C - Month of March
02- day 2

Source - Chevolet Parts Catalog No. 11, models thru 1975.

Thanks for the responce on the tran.# these # do not tell you if it is a 3 or 4 speed tran. in the book I have these are the letter codes O,K,H,R,P,C,T,E has any body else run across this.

S is listed in Colvin's CBTN as a Saginaw 3 speed.

We also have about (7) 3 speed cars in our database with this code.
