I have a Ď67 coupe that looks like it has been through some battles in itís past life (lives?). The firewall has many holes in it that are either not used or much too big for whatever passes through it. Does anyone have any recommendations on the best way to clean up / patch all of the holes? I have most of the correct grommets for what is going through but they donít fit because the for the most part the hole is too big or torn open more than it needs to be.

Thanks

I had the same problem, and ended up having to cut out the old and weld in the new. I had one hole that was 16''x8'' right behind where the distributor is. The smaller holes were welded up. It is a lot of work but a good body man can do miracles.
