I need to change my intake manifold gasket on my Camaro. Can anyone help me out with it. I need to know what to torque the bolts to. Or can I just bolt them thing on. I have a 350 motor

ok install the bolts and working from the center outward tighten the bolts to 20 lbs - ft besure to lay a good bead of silicone at all 4 courners hope this helps.Double check the bolts more then twice.

Agree,but I would also ditch the two rubber end seals.Use a good 1/4" bead of silicone instead.The rubber end seals move out of position when putting the intake on,and are usually the first thing to leak.

You torque the bolts from the inside out in a spiral pattern like this:

9 5 1 4 8 12


10 6 2 3 7 11

Retorque all of the bolts at least twice.

My 302 intake was leaking both oil and coolant. I not only used the 1/4" bead on the front and back but I also coated the port gaskets. In addition I put some silicone on the bolt threads. No problems with leaks since then.
