Question

Has anyone here put the ultra-lite speedo and tach in the dash of their first gen camaro? If so was there any complications. I am thinking of doing this. I would like to have up the tic-toc-tach in but I'm not going to spend $300 on that thing. Thanks for any info. Later, Mike

Check this thread out https://www.camaros.net/forum/Forum1/HTML/003162.html Also try a search under general and interior sections for "autometer" and "guages", lots of threads there. I have a copy of an article from www.hotrodarchives.com that shows the installation as well, good pictures, not too specific on wiring from what I remember. It was on a project car called "Crusher Camaro" or something like that. Hope this helps.

Mike, no problem, glad to help. I am going to do the same conversion, just got the console pod and guages for Christmas-will be getting the speedo & tach in the near future. Let me know if you come across any difficulties that haven't been encountered by anyone else!!

I put the autometer ultra-lites speedo+ tach.in my 68,was no problem at all. only a couple of things, youll have to get a fuel level gauge+ youll have to come up with turnsignal indicator lamps[which can easily be mounted in the speedo, tach carrier.I opted for the 200mph. speedo, hey you never know!!
