When you get up close to the black vinyl top on my Nova (sorry) you can see several places that the pigment is gone - it has almost like somebody springled some salt all over the top. This car is a totally original survivor and I don't want to replace the top - but would like to freshen it up without messing it up. Can anybody suggest a good black dye or a dressing that would fill in these spots ? Thanks.

The stuff you want is called " Topper" by Sems. I got mine from a Auto Paint supplier. You can brush or spray it on. Looks great.Thier # is...800-831-1122

Yes.. I used it on a dis-colored white Camaro convert. and it looked great. I brushed it on with a foam paint brush.

PPG has a very good vinyl dye that sprays easy and looks just like the original. If you have access to spray equipment and follow the directions, you'll be very happy with their dye.
