How do i put back the spark plug wires on a 1969 distributor. Its a 230 engine

Not sure about a straight six...visit your local library and check out a Chilton's or Haynes for ANY older chevy that came with a six cylinder (nova, etc.). JT

What do you mean by "put back"? If you mean the wires were removed then I suggest:

1. find the firing order (sometimes this is on the intake manifold)
2. locate the number one cylinder at top dead center
3. pull the cap and find what terminal the rotor is pointing at
4. install wires to plugs and place onto the distibutor in the firing order.
