I am restoring my 67 RS/SS and am having difficulty with the center of the dash panel. The previous owner did a hack job on the center for a stereo installation. Giant holes where the radio and ashtray are supposed to belong. Is it possible to get replacement sheet metal for this? Where? If not, has anyone refabricated this area?

I don't know of anyone who manufactures a repro full dash. I know dash tops exist, but I have never seen the front side of a dash for sale. Looks like you will have to go with a used dash, that is if you can find one. My best advice would be to try to find one at a junkyard (good luck) or calling either D&R or Rick's. They both seem to be able to find parts like this if they don't already have one. Good luck.

man i hate hacker's. i would agree, the only thing you could do is find a used piece and cut it to size and get it welded back in. i haven't seen any replacement part for that area. check your local scrap yards or camaro dealer to see if they have any used ones. rick's would be a good place to start. man, my posting sounds just like the previous one.
good luck,

Hey, fellow '67 type...I recently replaced the dash panel in my coupe w/ an A/C dash (I had to do some other stuff, too...) and happen to have the part you need. You can have the whole dash panel for the price of shipping the thing from California. Let me know...
