Unhappy

Hello all, nice website...very good to see something like this...

I am looking for good referrals on where to get a certain kind of coolant temperature sensor that seems to be eluding me (May seem minor, but I just bought the car and beginning finishing it off). I have an edelbrock manifold, therefore the books at local parts stores call for a different type. I need one compatible with the hollow copper tube (capillary tube type) and not the electric version with female wire connector. Any online ordering forums for this part???? any advice is appreciated...

thanks

Left,
I believe what you are looking for is just the "fitting" that goes into the manifold so that you can screw the end of the capillary tube into it. I know that Autometer sells them in different sizes depending on what size hole you have in the manifold. Your local speed shop should have an Autometer catalog that shows them.
Most "real" auto parts stores should also have them in thier brass fitting drawers.
If absolutely no one can help you let me know and I can send you the correct one.
By the way, just to make certain you understand the capillary tube type gauges...the tube assembly is a one piece, factory sealed assembly. You cannot cut the tube...once you do the gauge is junk.
Hope this helps,
