Where would a novice camaro owner go to find a good 12 bolt rear end to install into a 67? What should I be looking for gear wise? What is a good price to pay? ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought one at a local swap meet. You could also buy one through one many professional rebuilder/parts supplier such as Drivetraindirect.com . It depends on your budget and the kind of guarantee you want. I got a 12 bolt 3.73 posi for my 350/4-speed '69 for $600. Prices for used axles (posi) I have seen are close to a thousand without much of a warranty. for a few dollars more, you could get a rebuilt one.

You could also go to MOSER Engineering at http://www.moserengineering.com/
He has got brand new houseings or a complete unit, I am seriously considering on of his units to replace the 12 bolt that I have now(mine needs everything, gears, posi, axles, bearings, etc) for that kind of money and it is already built.
