Steering Box....I have an old 1968 Camaro. The steering box bent or broke. Was there 2 gear ratio's in 1968? A guy is telling me that I have "quick steer" on it. Can anyone tell me where i can get a rebuilt one. I don't care if it is original or not. Can anyone give me the brand name and the part number of a rebuilt one and where to go to get it? Thanks, Jan

I would send it to a steering rebuilder and get it fixed.
If the box casting is not damaged they can replace the internals.
The fast ratio is very desireable to keep.
The gears inside the box determine the ratio, and "slow" boxes can be converted to fast by changing the gears inside.
In California, Lee Power steering in Sun Valley, I think- is the place to send it.
There may be a place closer to you, and cheaper.
